"We are sustainable engineering consultants in the most vulnerable areas of Peru"

Last week we met Andres (Civil Engineering Director) and Xiomara (Project Manager) to talk with them about their famous project in Peru: Ingenieros Voluntarios Perú - for now an association but soon an engineering startup developing innovative projects to solve social and environmental issues.

IVP is an organization made of multidisciplinary engineers who want to create innovative projects for Peru. Motivated by former experiences in NGOs, they all share the same values and passion about what they do.

The organization aims at developing several projects: architectural projects for schools, reforestation projects, rainwater recuperation systems, etc. All these projects are focused on 3 main goals: develop the social community, conserve natural and protected areas, improve people's life quality.

We specially talked about the rainwater project - called Atrapaniebla: it consists in building a strongly tight net that gets humidity in the air, transforms it in water and then evacuates it in a recipient.

After having experienced the project, IVP can ensure us that one system can get between 300 and 400L of water per day.

To follow their adventure and their incoming startup, be sure to like their Facebook page:
